The Denver Nuggets

What a blessing it was to receive the tickets for a suite at the Denver Nuggets game. It was so cool how each family that helped our family during our stay in Denver was somehow represented. And it was fun for the kids to have more "cousin" time! :-) Here are some pictures from the night...

The boys and my Uncle Dean...

The boys and the Nelsen girls...they are 2nd cousins...

Lizzy and Libby...

Uncle Terry, Cousin Jeff and the boys...

The Nelsen Family and the girls...

Lizzy and her cotton candy...

Matt (our friends that hosted us son) and the boys. They enjoys talking Star Wars with Matt. :)

Linda (our friend who hosted us for half of the time) and the girls...

They were "sweet" seats and a sweet blessing to our family. The Nuggets had a come from behind victory and their Mascot made a backwards half court shot on his 3rd attempt which was pretty cool to see. I have some awesome video of Drew dancing like a crazy man on our flip video...I will have to see if I can post it here. It was a very fun night. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have daddy and Daniel there too.

Thankfully, he left the hospital the very next day...

Harley Rides And Auntie

While we were in Denver, each of my big boys got to go on a Harley ride with my uncle Dean. Actually they went for two rides. On the second, he took them for a long ride up in the mountains. He gave them each a Harley T-shirt to commemorate the event. Here they are on the bike before they left...

They both thought it was SO cool!

And here is Daniel cuddled up with my Aunt Fran...

And here are the girlies cuddled up on their bed watching Sleeping Beauty...

We enjoyed the time we spent with them SO much! Thank you Dean and Fran for your hospitality and for all of the fun memories!!

Catching Up!

Now that we are home, I plan to get back to our daily posts. Tonight I wanted to share some sweet pictures as we left the hospital last Thursday...

He is always wanting everyone to know that he is "SO BIG!" :-)

Home Sweet Home

We arrived home from our month in Denver on Sunday Afternoon. A dear friend met us at the airport with our van and supper! So sweet of her. Our neighbors watched over our home and picked up our mail while we were gone. They and our sweet friend who picked us up also had surprises waiting for us when we walked into our house...

They bought groceries, toiletries, cleaning supplies and presents for the kids. Of course I immediately started crying. It was a very bright start amidst a hard travel day and some rough "re-entry", tired moments. The Lord has truly blessed us with dear, sweet friends. And continues to remind me that he loves me and it has nothing to do with deserving it. Because for most of Sunday I could really use a "re-do" on my attitude.

Thank you friends fro making our homecoming so special.

The Park

Our time here in Colorado has gone by fast! Already we are entering our last week and a BIG week of appointments it will be. For those of you who have missed the daily video/pictures, I plan to return to posting one each day when we return home. It has been a little hectic here for me to do that without missing out on sleep. :)

We have spent a lot of time at a park near our friends home. All four big kids LOVE the see-saw. And Daniel loves to sit on the bench that swings with mommy or daddy...

It has such a gorgeous view of the mountains.

We have many more pictures to share, many more reunions to talk about, but for now this is all the energy I have. :)

A Sweet Family Reunion

I had an unexpected and sweet reunion with some aunties and cousins from my mom's side of the family. My Aunt Kathy was just in Texas...but the rest of the family I have not seen for a few years...some for like 7 years! My cousins live here, but 2 of my aunts were in the Denver area visiting their grandkids. We had a nice lunch out and then everyone came to my other aunt's house (my dad's sister) to see the kiddos and meet Daniel...

It was a gorgeous afternoon and a very sweet reunion.

A Scenic Detour

Thanks to Aunt Ro's detour...I snapped this great picture of my kids and the Rockies...

It was crazy windy...but still a fun picture!

"Aunt Ro" and the Butterflies

My sweet friend "Aunt Ro" treated our family to a day at the Butterfly Pavilion and a Texas style lunch at Chick-Fil-A. During our time at the Pavilion, some brave souls held a tarantula...

I was surprised that Drew chose to do this, but not at all by Lizzy. She LOVES all bugs/critters/creepy crawlies and was SO excited to hold this furry critter. No thank you for me! Abby regrets not taking a chance and holding Mr. T. She says next time...but I am not convinced. :)

The butterflies were so cool. Drew and Lizzy had them land on their hands...

There was also a little play area. The kids all did the zip line, but the pictures are on Aunt Ro's camera. But here is Abby on a caterpillar and Drew in a spider web...

Thanks to Aunt Ro and her mom for a fun day! :-)

Trampoline/Bungee Jumping

During our visit to the Colorado Mills, my 4 oldest kiddos enjoyed the "Mall Jump". It was a trampoline/bungee jumping contraption...

Lizzy jumped higher and higher with each jump doing her straddle legs...

Abby took some convincing, but decided to join in the jumping fun...

I was afraid the kiddos (especially Lizzy) might hit their heads on the ceiling. The man running the Mall Jump assured me it was impossible...but they came awful close. :)

Daniel and daddy watching the acrobats...

It was a fun outing for sure! :-)

I Can Clap!

This is Daniel's latest thing! He loves to clap and does so MANY times a day. Love it!
