The Great Wolf Lodge

On Saturday we returned from our 2nd annual trip (although technically we never actually left the metro-plex) to the Great Wolf Lodge! For those of you who are not familiar, this is a HUGE hotel with a really cool indoor/outdoor waterpark. There had been a countdown going on at our house since last year...but it became intense once Christmas was over. To say the kids were excited would be an understatement. The excitement and enthusiasm of our kiddos was by far my favorite part of the time away. I had SO much fun watching our kids have fun. Our days were filled with...LOTS of laughing, LOTS of swimming, LOTS of sliding, LOTS of junk food and NOT A LOT of sleep for mom and dad! =) We all had a great time...here are the "favorites" according to the kids...

The boys were tall enough and brave enough this year to ride all of the "Big" slides. Brent and I were excited about this and took turns riding with them. It was so fun...especially the Howlin' Tornado...I laughed, without sound, the entire time. =) So, so fun!! Here is a picture of it from outside the hotel...the red and yellow one is the Tornado. I may record Brent doing his impersonations of the boys' face the first time they were on the tornado. He does it well...and it is so funny.

We plan to make this our yearly "vacation" while in seminary. Thank you Lord for the great, great time we had together!

Science Fair 2009

Our 2nd annual Home School Science Fair was tonight! This year the boys and I did a unit study on plants and so our "exhibit" was all about plants. We had fun putting this together and presenting it to our friends. There were some really neat displays and experiments there tonight, the kiddos all did so good!! I am still amazed that the Lord brought these people into our lives just 10 days after we moved here. What a blessing these families are to us!! I am beat, so I am going to let the pictures do the rest of the talking...Here we are putting it all together...

As I said it was a VERY fun night! Great job boys! I LOVE you!!

A Picture Update...

Spring has arrived here and we have been enjoying the outdoors!! I am sorry that I have been so slow in posting updates. Brent has the computer most of the time either taking notes in class or working on a paper or taking notes for a paper or working on a project...are you getting the picture? =) So, I am going to try and be intentional and at least post a few pictures each week...here are some from today!

Abby found these boots today...they are still a little big, but she LOVES them and did not take them off for more than 2 minutes today until she had to take a bath. I LOVE her in them too!!

We blew bubbles, played in the fountain, had a picnic and tonight ran around with some of our friends, who ended up giving Lizzy the bike pictured below. She loves it! And she loves riding it! =)

What a beautiful day it was! I sure do LOVE the sunshine!!

"Bless You'd"

The other night Lizzy was sitting at the table coloring with markers. She had been working on a picture for quite awhile, when all of a sudden she crumpled it up. I said, "Lizzy, what are you doing baby?" To which she replied, "Oh mom, I just 'Bless you'd' all over my page."

=)

I don't want to forget these things...hopefully I will have more computer time to be able to record more of our day to day happenings!!
