Well it's almost 11am and so far today Lizzy has kept me "hoppin" as she always does:-) Early this morning while I was feeding Abby, Lizzy proceeded to try and change her own diaper (let me assure you this is NOT the 1st time!). It was hardly wet, but she was in "need" of some powder...baby powder that is. I had heard her walking around saying powder please and had told her the next time we changed her pants she could have some. Well, she took the initiative and decided that right then was the time! So I found the mess, vacuumed it and then spent 20 or so minutes cleaning the vacuum. Baby powder makes a big mess inside the filter of a vacuum!!
A little bit later, after laying Abby down to sleep, I decided to change clothes. Bad move! That gave Lizzy 5 minutes (or less really) without my supervision. She LOVES coffee. I don't know if she was going to try and make her own or what, but I came out of the bedroom only to find the boys trying to sweep up Lizzy's mess of coffee grinds. Our Kitchen rugs were already in the washing machine from the baby powder mess, so this made clean up a little quicker this time!
As I take five again to type this, our living room floor is covered with the sticker project she is working on. Just a little while ago it was covered with our small photo albums that she takes out each day and looks through. There is also a stack of paintings and paint mess at her little table and we have baby dolls everywhere. Some are in blankets, one in a stroller, one on the table and her care bear on top of the stickers in the middle of the floor. I DO pick up after her, but honestly as I am cleaning up one thing, she is off to the other!! So much energy, so many interests, so much independence and really so much fun!
Somehow the boys get their school work done...we do our more focused one on one activities during naptime. I love my Lizzy...she really LOVES life. Right now she is trying to make baskets in our nerf basketball hoop that is on our door (she has left the stickers). She can't even come close, because it is so high, but she just keeps shooting and each time she says (very enthusiastically) "Oh Shucks, Aw shucks, or Boom". She's great!:-) I LOVE how she keeps trying!:-)
The following pictures are from the other day when she painted her own "finger"nails while I was getting dressed (again about 2 minutes):-) and she often gets in my make up drawer and applies her own lipstick!
I am writing this so I can remember WHY I am so tired at the end of a day:-)

Oh, the days!! She does sound so much like my Kylie Joy!!! :-) I bet that you ARE so tired at the end of the day, my friend! I was tired after reading the post!
And, she is just looking so grown up in those boots and longer hair!
What a fun way to journal and write this down to remember exactly how a half-morning with Lizzy was...
Hope that you all are doing well!!
I felt like I needed a nap after I read your post! Marilyn
Wow-you are busy mama! I was encouraged that the boys were helping clean up after Lizzy Lou's coffee adventure. I was thinking that maybe you should stay dressed all night (forget the PJ's) and then it would be one less thing for you to do! ha Anyway, I love you all! Mom and/or Grandma
Whew Lizzy! You would run circles around my Julianna. But, of course, once you sat down to some serious make-up putting-on, she'd be glad to join you!
Jaci, you are a busy momma!
Laura
I just LOVE Lizzy's pink boots...so cute! Hey, Jaci...I met someone (actually at Jason's grandma's funeral) whose son-in-law attends DTS (such a small world)...I knew her daughter WAAAY back from the days of summer camp...anyway, long story short, I gave them your name - maybe you guys can meet up sometime! ;-)
