A Tournament at Rangers Ballpark

Last weekend Drew had a One day tournament at the Texas Ranger's Youth Center Park...

This field is located right across the street from Ranger's stadium...

Here is the team before the day got started...

Drew with one of his teammates and friends...

This was a really fun place for the boys to play baseball. They even started the day with the National Anthem. And each time before the player batted, their name was announced.

Drew played first base for most of the day...

Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Annie were visiting, and between games we purchased tickets to the Ranger's game. I am Second was doing a pre-game concert featuring Casting Crowns, one of our favorite bands. So the boys, grandma and I enjoyed this very much! In fact, my mom had wanted to go to their Concert in South Dakota, but she missed it when she came to stay with us in April. The concert ended up being an unexpected blessing on Saturday for everyone...

When the concert was over we headed into Rangers stadium to see the first inning of the baseball game. It was a great feeling to be back inside Ranger's stadium. The last time was Game 6 of the ALCS.

While we were there grandma bought Drew a Ranger's water fan to cool down!

And then we headed back over to watch more of this...

The Ranger's ended up playing 13 innings on Saturday, so we were able to watch another hour of the Ranger's between games!  The Royals did not win, but it was a fun filled day and such a fun place for the boys to play baseball!  I hope Sam gets a chance sometime.  We always love to watch you play Drew!
