Maybe this week we will receive the beautiful photographs from Fotolanthropy. They did a story about Daniel HERE on December 5th. I cannot wait to actually see the book and whatever else they put together with the awesome photographs Amanda took for our family. It was a sweet 2 hours. Daniel and all the kids did so well. And I know we will always cherish the photos.
Our pastor Neil asked Katie (who founded this non-profit) if Fotolanthropy could do anything for our family. I had no idea he had asked her this, nor was I even aware that Fotolanthropy existed. And so Katie approached me after I gave my "Real Stories of Real People" during a church service in September. This was a huge answer to prayer for me, as I was really desiring to have some family photographs taken.
In fact, that Sunday two HUGE answers to prayer were realized...one being the photographs, and the other being a baby-sitter. That Sunday the nurse that cares for the only other child (that I know of) in North Texas that is on a Cadd Legacy pump with continuous IV medication for Pulmonary Hypertension (I know...long title right?) was at our church. When she heard my brief testimony, she said she knew she had to at least introduce herself. She asked me that morning if I would ever be interested in having her babysit, to which I replied "How often are you talking?!?" :-) I would have taken her home with us right then.
Since then, she has come out and watched the kids for us a handful of times, allowing Brent and I to go on a "monthly" date. All of the kids just love her. And I am certain she enjoys them as well. So it is a HUGE blessing to us. And more evidence of a faithful and loving God who cares for all of our needs. I really think I just too often neglect to ask.
I adore every. one. of. these. photographs. Thank you Lord for the fantastically, wonderful gift(s).
