I was taking care of Abby and the boys were eating lunch. Since our living room is also our dining area/kitchen/play room I can "keep tabs" on all the happenings fairly easily, as well as listen in on what my boys are discussing. The boys were chatting away at the table and Drew asks "How much more school do we have after lunch?"
My reply: "A quite a bit"
Silence for awhile and Sam said to Drew: "Yeah Drew, we've barely scratched the surface today."
Drew: "Where did you hear that?" (I was wondering the same thing)
Sam: "The Land of Ha's" (It's A veggie Tale)
Then they went into reminiscing about the movie and then other movies and so goes the "flow" of conversation.
I wrote this now more for me and my memory or I won't even remember long enough to tell Brent. It is funny to me to hear little kids say things that sound so grown up...and use it correctly:-) I often enjoy the conversations that take place between my boys each day at lunch...I usually learn a lot! And smile a lot too!
Here they are yesterday on their scooters...
Love you BOYS!:-) MOM

Cute story. Glad you're finding JOY in the little day-to-day moments!
Yes...kids' conversations are the BEST sometimes, aren't they? I also love to sit and listen to the things that my kids find to talk about!
How precious...and how fun to be able to record it and remember it!!
:-)
