This past year we have had some awesome visitors. I, however, have been less than an awesome blogger. So over the next few weeks I am going to try and catch up and share and document the fun times we have had with our visitors. I am going to start with the most recent and work my way backwards...
In the middle of August, the wonderful Armstrong Family came to visit us for 5 days. They live in North Dakota and Teryl and I met in chemistry class our first year of college. Our husbands (although it would be a few years before Mitch would be "husband" status) became good friends and the four of us spent a lot of time together. As we graduated college we started having babies...Drew, then Sam, then Wyatt. Then the Armstrong family moved to a different city in North Dakota. After they moved, we visited each other back and forth. The last time we had seen them was our visit in July of 2007, just before we moved to Texas...5 years ago!!
Since the last time we had seen them, we had added two children and they had added their youngest. So we were SUPER excited when they contacted us this spring and said they would like to visit in August. All of our kiddos got along SO wonderfully. It really did seem like they all knew each other, but only Drew and Sam remembered Wyatt and Josie. For five days we played and played and played. And then when they left we cried and cried and cried. It would be awesome if they lived closer. But hopefully they fell in love withTexas and will be back to see again soon!!
The first night we all headed out to the Rangers...
The next day we spent playing and splashing in our backyard and community pool (Teryl and I did a little bit of shopping too!)...
We then spent 2 days and 1 night at the Great Wolf Lodge. And we dined at the nearby Rainforest Cafe...
It was super special to have our dear friends meet and get to know Daniel. We love to share him with everyone. Especially those we love...
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Armstrong's for coming to see us. We love y'all so much!!
