Another Ice Day

The streets of our city are still sheets of ice and school has been called off again tomorrow. The boys' friend spent the day here with us until after supper tonight after spending the night last night. There were forts made, games played, puzzle pieces put together, posters drawn, movies watched, beads strung and duplo legos formed into a giant zoo here today. This morning I made 2 loaves of pumpkin bread and within 10 or so minutes of pulling them from the oven, the five sweet kiddos has consumed every crumb of both loaves. I really sometimes cannot believe how much they can eat!! It was a good day.

Here are some pictures from the day...

The boys with their buddy...

They were in the middle of watching star wars...that is why Drew looks so serious. :) I wish I had gotten a picture of them all in the huge fort Brent made.

Our Duplo Lego Zoo...

And here are a couple of close ups of some of our exhibits...:-)

The Petting Zoo/Farm Yard part of our zoo..

The Giraffes and penguins and polar bear exhibits...

Our grand entrance...

This did take a few hours to construct...we had a monkey exhibit, elephants, zebras, lions, alligators, a train and four wheelers. This was mostly a mom project, with some help from Lizzy, Abby and Daniel. Everyone in our house likes legos.

And here was our little buddy just before bed...

We have been so excited that he has been able to stay home with this cold!! Yay Daniel!! This is the first time since May that he has not had a crisis accompany a cold. Thank you for praying!

Thank you Lord for a sweet day.
