Ice Day

I cannot believe it has come to the end of the day and no picture. But there was lots of excitement here today. Daniel is fighting the cold going through our house and has been having a little bit of a hard time, but still staying well enough to stay home! I hope this continues through the night.

We had an Ice/snowstorm and everything is shut down. It was crazy last night to hear ice pelting the windows and thunder and lightning flashing outside. Because of all this, the boys are having a "snow day" sleepover with one of their friends as school was cancelled here again tomorrow. The weather is feeling much like where we grew up. The wind chill is supposed to be -12 and the actual temperature is 7 degrees. I guess it is the first time it has been single digits in 15 years. The kids are loving the snow and I do not mind as I know it will all be gone by Friday or Saturday (something that is MUCH different from where we grew up). Daniel really would need this hat here today...and then some...

And Lizzy did get to wear all of her winter apparel that she was wearing on a 70 degree (or maybe warmer?) day this fall...

And this here is a girl after my own heart, who decided after being outside for about 3 minutes this morning that a WARM place is the place for her...

It is days like this that make me dream even more of taking my kids here...like we did Drew and Sam 6 years ago now...

I love the beach. I especially love Laguna Beach and that is where we were in this picture.

I know that this post was all over the place. But I realized as I was waiting for this last picture to upload that for having NO pictures from today, I successfully posted picture of ALL five kiddos. And that does not happen every day. :-)
