Last Day of School

Yesterday was our last day of school for the 2012-13 school year. So this past week was spent finishing books, tying up loose ends and sharing some of our hard work with the class and daddy.

For their final project on our year long study of "Land Animals of the 6th Day", Drew and Sam had to choose any animal, write a report to share with everyone, and put together a poster board to go along with their presentation.  Drew chose to do his on alligators...

...afterall they have been his favorite animal since he was 4 years old!  :)

This is a picture Drew made of an Albino Alligator...

Sam chose to do his presentation lions...

And here is his picture...

They both did a fantasic job!  Daddy had some questions when they were finished each time!

For every chapter we read in our science book, I would have the girls choose an animal to draw a picture of and write or copy a couple of sentences about them.  I am making it into their animal book, but this week they each shared one of their favorites with us.

Abby shared her elephant...

And Lizzy shared her picture of a Cheetah...

For kindergarten, I have had each of the kids memorize 26 verses...singing the word from A to Z.  They then write them in a scrapbook and decorate each page with stickers that start with that letter of the alphabet.  Abby chose 5 of her favorites to share and sing with us...

And here is my 2012-2013 class...they are officially now 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, Fifth Grade and Seventh Grade.  They are growing up so fast!

I am so proud of each of you!!  Have a great Summer Vacation!!!  :-)
