Sunday Baseball

After Daniel's crisis on Saturday, our plans for attending the boys baseball games as a family were changed.  Daniel needed to stay home.  The past couple of years Brent and I have become experts at tag-teaming.  So Sunday morning he headed off to Sammy's first game, our sweet friends once again took Drew to his game and I stayed home with my three youngest.  Sam's team lost their first game, and Sunday was single elimination, so there was not another game to attend.  I was bummed to not see him play, but last night one of the mom's on Sam's team (who happens to be a professional photographer) sent me the most fabulous pictures of Sam batting and pitching and fielding at Sunday's game.  I love each one of them...

What a special they gift are to me.  So thoughtful and kind for her to take them and send them to us last night.  Sam is such a great kid...inside and out.  I will always treasure these pictures.  They said he pitched awesome, striking out 6 of the 8 batters he faced.  As I said they lost the game, but Sam had fun playing and smashed a double and a single to add to the 2 triples he hit the day before. He is off to a good start.  And I am glad he has such a good game after the horrible event he witnessed on Saturday.

Drew's team had a good day too.  In my "fogginess", I forgot my camera as I headed to Drew's game Sunday afternoon.  But on Sunday his team made it to the semi-finals after winning their first two games yesterday.  They lost in a close game 12-9, but they played well and were fun to watch.  Drew ended the day with a single and I was so glad to be able to go and watch him play baseball yesterday afternoon.  He played an awesome first base and is just so fun to watch.  What a blessing.

You are blessed with these two wonderful boys. So fun to see the pics of Sam in action! Sounds like they both had some great games. Nice pitching Sam! Good to hear they are having fun and that they are hitting the ball well!
