Vacation Bible School
Last week the boys had a great week at Vacation Bible School! The theme was "Got Joy". There were about 1300 kids (I think...I am going to find out exactly this week) in attendance and it was SO FUN to see the worship area filled with kids kindergarten-4th grade singing praise songs and having so much fun! The singing and large group is how Drew ended each day and as I watched (with tears running down my cheeks) I was praying that the words they were singing would truly become the songs of their hearts. I was praying that these children, that my children, would grow to know and love the Lord with all their hearts, souls and minds. I was praying that the enthusiasm that was in that room would be life long and would be out of an overflow of love for their Savior Jesus. It was a great week. And it touched my heart in many ways. Drew said he wished it lasted the whole summer. I just can't believe how much he is growing up. Sam was in the pre-school section, which was a little different...so his worship/music was at a different time. That's why most of the pictures will be of Drew...I didn't get to see what he did. But he LOVED the week too. Here are some photos...

I'm glad the boys enjoyed Bible School and I too hope for the love of God to permeate their souls as they learn about Him. Wow-what a group!!! I love your sharing and of course I love you all, Grandma
1300 kiddos! That's incredible. Man, would love for my girls to be there one day - maybe we'll have to do a furlough in TX a few years from now and arrange our schedule so we can participate in VBS with the Jackson girls (and their older brothers!) :)

So glad that your kiddos had a great time at VBS! I can't even IMAGINE that many kids coming to a VBS. How crazy...but how NEAT!!!

Jaci - I just caught up on your posts through the one about coaching the boys to be encouraging to each other. I love love love the way you are so intentional with your parenting, thoroughly thoughtful about your goals for them, and totally dependent on God for the results. Besides that, you create so much fun for your family. You are an inspiration for me and the family I'd like to have one day, but also for my life and faith right now! Thank you! Miss you!
