January 8th

The day started with Lizzy losing a top tooth!

This morning both Drew and Daniel spiked high fevers and had to stay back at our resort.  :(  We were disappointed by this, but it is just that time of year.  So Sam, Lizzy, Abby and I headed off to Magic Kingdom to have lunch with Pooh and Friends while Brent, Daniel and Drew stayed back for some much needed rest.

Later on the girls showed some LOVE for Big Thunder Mountain...

And we met Woody and Jessie and added their signatures to our autograph books.  Too bad Daniel couldn't have been there to give Woody a big High Five!!

 In the middle of the afternoon there was an awesome character parade.  The park was not super busy, so it was easy to get a front row seat.  This proved to be a lot of fun, as Abby had the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland come right up and get in her face...

 And Sam had the wicked Stepmother from Cinderella notice him from afar...

Come up and cup his chin in her hands...

And whisper to him..."Are you married?  If not, you will be by sunset tomorrow (insert evil laugh)"

 It was AWESOME!!  I did not hear what she said and Sam wouldn't tell me (I wonder why??:-)), but thankfully a mom standing next to me heard what she said and told me.  Oh did Sam get a sheepish grin on his face.  And then I said, "Sam you KNEW what she said."  And he just smiled.  I guess he was just too embarrassed to say.  :)

The girls wanted to visit the Little Mermaid ride again, so this time we took a picture in front of her castle...

And that night they were able to meet Merida from "Brave".

And each of them took there turn at learning how to shoot a bow and arrow...

We ended the day with a magical fireworks show.  In the picture below, notice how the castle is Mickey's magical hat...

Another great day...just a bummer that a few of us were under the weather.
